What lies in this journal is simply fiction, based on events that have taken place during the wonderful play called Rent. I am not related to/nor do I know, the wondeful Jonathan Larson. Mark is played by the talented Anthony Rapp. I am neither Anthony or Mark. Mark is open to rp with anyone who wishes to interact with him. Just be warned it will be rare to find him without his camera or trying to hide behind it. Mark Cohen is the property of the late great Jonathan Larson. About Mark

Since there is very little to NO extensive bio about Mark, I have taken the liberties of coming up with his backstory. The following is what I was able to come up with, and is subject to change, given sitsuations that may occur with my other wonderful rent community friends.

Mark is a filmmaker in his own right. He wants to be a director but for now he tends to chronicle the life around him involving his friends who a few have AIDS. he records their lives to keep as memories for others and for those he records to watch years later and see how far they have come and that they still survive. He spends most of his time behind the camera which his friends would just love to see him step out from behind sometimes. He feels his place is there to observe and record. Mark left home when he was freshly 18 to persue his filming and to escape overbearing parents who tried to shelter him from the world. On his own he met some of the best friends he could over ask for:

He dated Maureen Johnson for a bit then she dumped him for a lawyer, named Joanne. Though he and Mo are currently retrying a relationship after she came to him and asked him for another chance. He still holds onto something he had bought when he and Mo were still dating, some may have noticed he had a small black velvet box he keeps near him or carries with him at times.
